Yes, but it is at the lower end of typical armored cruiser speeds.

Tanthalas

Meh who wants to be at the lower end... Virtualy everyone has a BB there anymore.  I want to be at the Upper end *scuries off to make Japanease ship go 22+ knots*

and...?  Its supposed to be a battleship.  So what does that say about all those slow armored cruisers?

It just seems to be rather speedy for a battleship, especially one with reciprocating engines. It seems that it would be more useful to have more 9.2 inch guns than a small increase in speed (although it will have a battlecruiser like edge over my existing battleships). Alternatively, they could have less armor and more speed to become powerful armored cruiser killers. It's just an odd combination right now.

Darman

You are right that it speedy compared to pretty much everyone else's battleships, including my own.  I'm not sure I'll be building these, since my slipways will be full until the end of 1901 if I remember right.

Heh, well, you could contact Union Steel & Iron: if, as it seems, Germany has won the Chilean order, US&I has open slips.....

4 foot of unprotected freeboard above the upper belt would concern me, other than that not a bad first effort (even if its a bit brute force for my tastes)

Strong design overall, although I would be concerned about the armor flaw Tan mentioned.
