Ore?  Why ship raw ore across the sea?  Wouldn't it make more economic sense to smelt it before you ship it?

Heh, the joys of colonies: can't let the locals get too much knowledge, they'll use it against you.  So instead you get to ship impurities across the sea.

On both of these, the speed (both max and cruise) is very high for a period freighter, causing you to pay more for less.  For non-perishable cargo, the speed is unnecessary and expensive, and for perishable cargo, you're too slow.

As a cheaper alternative, that carries 50% more cargo, there this:
