OK the 11" turret in A posistion is technicly raised but considerd Deck level, then there is an 8" twin behind and above it in the B posistion, then an 8" twin raised in the X posistion over a 11" twin in the Y posistion with a pair of 8" twins one on each wing. I actualy just caught a mistake but it shouldnt matter to the weights (X is listed as a wing turret)

it should look somthing like this B, P, Q, and X are all 8" twins while A, and Y are 11" twins

ok....dont think that is legal.

EDIT: Tho the 8" guns not being in turrets makes it discussable. What do others think?
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

I don't think superfiring turrets should(/are) be allowed yet, except in special cases (e.g. because the forward hull is a deck higher). Also, anything that's not inside a turret should single only, shouldn't it?

Tanthalas

which was the violation I was openly refering to (the twin mount and hoist when they are suposed to be singles only)... I can give a few examples of secondaries that are blatently and obviously raised but that wasnt my point...

and now for a horse of a totaly diferent Color... for our time frame it would be realy realy WIERD, but as far as I can tell totaly legal (which gives it atleast an even chance of seeing production).

As you all know im kind of down on AQY at the moment since so many people have chosen to go that route (seriously it was my intended path but just to many out there atm).  So I had this wild idea today, Opinions are most definetly welcome (seriously I think its legal and everything fits sort of).  Honestly this ship has kind of caught my eye so I may be building them baring any major complaints.

Other than that, I'm not sure about the 6"/4.7" combination, they're pretty close in size, so do you need both?  Armor is solid for a BC, which is what this effectively is (BB armament, AC speed), except maybe on the quarterdeck and conning tower.  Seaboat rating is VERY high.

The IJN used that very combination on the Tsukuba-class BC/AC's. I too thought it odd. I soon realized the 6-inch guns have punch but a low ROF, the 4.7-inch not so much punch but a higher ROF. So use the 6-inchers on enemy BB's and CR's and the 4.7's on enemy DD's and TB's.

KWorld

The problem with that is that the 6" gun doesn't have ENOUGH punch to be very useful against BBs or ACs, most anything on those ships that the 6" can hurt, a 4.7" can too.  Against lighter cruisers, the 6" does have some advantages, granted.

*grumbles* what the hell happend to my bunker... well it was 5500@10 (my normal) and well thats easy enough to fix, the secondary and tritery batteries are kinda closeish in size (somthing I have thought about also) honestly im tempted to go all 4.7s on it but I felt it was a bit early to make that jump.

I'd suggest 4.7"s and perhaps 3"/12 pounders or 65mm/9 pounders.  You're in serious TB territory, having plenty of lightweight, high ROF guns makes sense to me (and period TBs are small, so the small guns will actually do fairly serious damage to them).
