Oh, and Snip, can we spend our excess cash on merchant marine?

Tanthalas

this is actualy a good question...  although I think with the ammount of aditional cash we all have our merchant marine could get a bit out of hand.  Possibly a percentage of it could be spent this way but don't plan it that way without further input from the mods.

I have enough cash... a merchant marine is important for sealift and resupply of troops.  During this period those ships would just be requisitioned by the government and not belong to the government.

I'd be careful of adding merchant marine rules right now, it's going to cause a delay in getting started if we do while everyone runs back and modifies their spending.

Given the issues with torpedo weights, any recommendations regarding how much weight we should set aside for them? I'm looking to finalize my warship designs and torpedoes are the only thing left to do.

Tanthalas

Quote1899 Baseline (0):3000@26, 1500@30, 100kg warhead(+0 dam.), early wet heater 1t, 18"
as per above 1 ton per torp at this point should be enough.

I'd lean to 0.75 tons for a fixed tube, 1 for a rotatable tube, myself.

Can we have 1899 torpedoes on ships with a date before 1899?

You can lean to whatever you want... in this case the rule is fairly strait forward, 1 ton per torp for 1899 (aka larger than 16 inch)torp.  just how it is, like it lump it live with it.

Delta, you put 204BP instead of 24BP on your final expenditures report down at the bottom.  Thought you might want to know.  Its under the army expenditures.

And are we supposed to be paying 25% more cash for destroyers and torpedo boats?
