So the US and Russia are single-region countries?  Makes my life easy...... (OK, there's Puerto Rico, oh boy.....)

Also, one thing to add. Any ship built to DD archatecture rules will need at least 50% of normal displacement devoted to its engines. This figure is given in the SS report.

From my Destructive class TDBs
QuoteDistribution of weights at normal displacement:
   Armament: 8 tons, 1.4 %
      - Guns: 8 tons, 1.4 %
   Armour: 8 tons, 1.4 %
      - Armament: 8 tons, 1.4 %
   Machinery: 323 tons, 57.4 %
   Hull, fittings & equipment: 106 tons, 18.9 %
   Fuel, ammunition & stores: 92 tons, 16.4 %
   Miscellaneous weights: 25 tons, 4.4 %
      - On freeboard deck: 25 tons

Hmmmm.  For those of us who without N3 backgrounds, how do we determine how many IC we have?  I see a BP number, and an Income number, and using Tan's link we can get Population.  Where's IC come from?

Tanthalas

With Population and Cash you can Figure out IC just using the old N3 spread Sheat.  Just add IC to your various regions untill you get to the Cash figure, or atleast close to it =P

Probably the easiest way is to play around with a copy of the spreadsheet and see what changing it does to your income. Each IC generates $1 and each unit of pop with an IC "attached" to it generates $1. Pop without IC generates $0.20. For me, the exact number of IC is unimportant (should be no fractional IC btw) but the net income that you have. Just make sure you have ~$283.5 as income, then go ahead and post what you have and we can see if anything needs fixing.

What tonnage type are we purchasing at (light, standard, normal)? I certainly hope standard or light given my long range needs.

Tanthalas

Light, the switch to the new spreadsheat will prevent some of the less than legit (not ilegal just questionable) processes from N3, but Light it was and shall remain.

Just to make sure - the cost of the ship in $ is in light tonnage - but is the cost of the ship in BP in light or standard?

no questions other than do you want it posted here? or should we each make our own thread.

There's stuff I could start posting, but where should I post it?  In our encyclopedias would make some sense, but they're not set up.....

Tanthalas

Snip had some issues setting them up, I know he only managed to make the accessable to all but locked to all but Admin.  If/when my name turns red I will make an effort to get them created (I used to know how to set access but that was on an older version of the site).
