Not sure if links inside the options work, so here is the link for option 2(now 1) again
I have no complete list for option 3(now 2) yet, but it would involve several levels for each of the (4 to 6) engine and drive systems. Almost all of this happens after 1910 though.

I'll start working on a tree for no.3 once I know its not a waste of time.

Here is a link I found to what proposal 3 would look like (correct me if I am wrong Nobody). It is not as fleshed out as the proposal for option two, but it does give an idea of what proposal 3 entails.

Does proposal 3 have separate technologies for the engines themselves (is the tree shown just for transmissions)?

No, we can't do that (look there). Plus turbine and transmission system depend heavily on each other (e.g. slowly rotating large diameter ones for direct-drive, simple constant speed models for turbo-electric-drive and small high- and variable speed variants for geared and hydraulic drive systems).
It would be nice to separate the boilers, but as long as SpringSharp does not offer such an option, I don't think we can.

First draft. You can start researching if you have the predecessor, or if you have a tech on the same level/line. if there is no predecessor you can start right away.

Honestly we have already agreed that a change is going to happen, so option one isnt an option realy the choices for the poll should have been options 2 and 3.  It looks however like option 3 is the winner (for this poll anyway)

If its ok will Nobody, I would like to recast this poll as a strait runoff between option 2 and option 3. The majority are for change and I feel we should give those who prefered the N3 system the oprotunity to have there voice heard in which system is adopted.

Sure if you can snip. I'm wasn't sure how to change the poll without accidentally deleting the whole thread.

Will try, or I might just make a new poll. Appologies if I nuke all this.

OK, the poll is now accurate. I did have to reset the vote counts, seeing as I eliminated a choice. Please vote again. A link to each proposal can be found in the question.

Looks like some comments somehow got smoked as well.

A likley story... Course as its your story you can tell it any way you want to =P

as to the table, it looks functional anyway (even if it will make writing kind of a pain)
