and yet another version Ditched the 57s, let it gain 500 tons and added another pair of 4.7s its a touch slower but over all I think its proly an improvment as its numbers are alot better.

and quite posibly the final version, I did away with the deck armor compleatly (face it a 1" deck was a waste of tonage) added another 4.7" (5 total now), got it up to 20 knots and down to 1200 tons.  all in all I think they would be not bad little cruisers.

I think at this point you'd be stuck with fixed above water mountings, I'm not aware (though certainly willing to be enlightened) of any twin rotatable tubes at this time period.

dosnt realy matter either way as it has no impact on the ships tonage/strengths and it has plenty of deck space but I can make the changes easily.

You could probably limit the lenght inf to 120m to have dockyards facilities in colonies.
Reduce the beam too, 6.71m is too much for that kind of ship in unknown waters.

What he said, as I have explaind multiple times Spring Sharp dosnt sim PCs very well because even if you select protected deck it sims all decks as flat.  So to remidy that we use a verticly chalenged belt of the same thickness as the deck armor

I just used my standard weapons on it (mostly because im drawing it and I already have the 4.7 and 8" guns drawn) as to the engine longer than ship issue, I always figured that in situations like that boilers and stuff were on the wether deck level (ala how the original lexington would have been)
