I will move these around so they are grouped by type as I add more ships (possibly anyway).

for my first ship I give you the Splendid Cats class Battleship.  they are period acurate for 1900 on everything from the guns to tonage to the armor (based on the numbers given for a number of first class battleships in Firedmans and Conways) but they are a tad bit fast.

the class would consist of 4 ships with laydown dates all around 1900

11" main battery?  Rather unusual for Italy.....  I'm also doubtful about the 2" end armor, and the bow is awfully pointy.

Italy had a 10/40 and a 12/40 circa 1898 I am simply averaging the 2 and using 11" for various reasons in regard to long term planing.  The ship is one of my Original SS2 ships from N2, the bow is simply asthetics, I like the way it looks in the drawing im working on (and I realy try to make my drawings and SS report match).  I am curently reworking the drawing puting in things I have learnd but what the heck ill post it up.

P.S.
I actualy expected objections to the freeboard =P

Well, this is a bit odd.....

If you go with an 11" here instead  of the 10" AND the 12", you'll have some problems fitting them on any ACs you build, without making them bigger.

Posted a pic up top, its still rough but ill finish it eventualy =P

Pic shows 4 hull casemates, sim has only 2.

Have to say, that bow looks perfectly hideous on that hull.  Also, sim is confused on whether you have 4 11" guns or 2 (there's only 2 single turrets).

What's the intention behind all the miscellaneous weight?

Jefgte

IMO,
Too much place between stacks.
Too aft position for the 3rd.
What a modern Spruance bow.

The pic looks a bit funny, yet great. Especially superstructure and turrets. How do you do that?

If I had to guess:
 • underwater hull: Derfflinger
 • chimneys: Imperator
 • bow: Ticonderoga

Tanthalas

@Jef not a Spruance but since the Ticondarogas were based off them close enough, the idea started out as what would a Ticondaroga look like in 1900.

@Nobody its kinda funky looking but yeah your right it just calls to me for some reason even I cant place.  As to how I posted the pic (what I think your asking about the code is below
[xurl=http:URL TO YOUR PICTUE]
Just remove the X at the start, add your sizes and links.

Underwatter hull is a mix of pure me (aft) and Derfflinger foreward (im not happy with it honestly)
Stacks are based loosley on Mikasa as is the superstructure(very very loosley)
Bow is pure Tico although modified a bit.

Lol no. I was asking about the art. It was also intended as a slightly rhetoric question.

Tanthalas

ahhh as to the art im a member of shipbucket, I like drawing ships, even if as this one they end up slightly funky (I still like it).  I have found that personaly it limits the tendancy to cram more stuff on just because it will fit (an example is I moved one of the 5" down a deck because it was a bit cramped on the weather deck)

DAMIT again... I have fixed that like 6 times, everytime I save it for some reason... Sufice it to say the produced version would fit within the bloody belt.

*edit* swaped the to short belt version for the one that actualy fits. aparently it was the misc weight since moving it on deck fixed the belt issue.
