I don't think that is how it's supposed to work Jef. From memory it says something like "up to half of it can be simmed as extra fuel". In other words, if you want to have 10560 t of supplies only 5280 of it may be (extra) fuel.

Jef - consider adding room for 20 - 100 passengers.  It'll provide some flexibility in moving personnel between bases or base and ship, with out requiring purpose-built transports for the duty.

The  weight for "material" is free to transport much different things.
Personnel or small troops could be a part of the "material" weight.

Isn't it a bit too slow?  Yeah, it's trial speed is 26 knots, but if it can only make 21 knots in a seaway, it's not much of a threat to anything other than merchies that pass close to your coasts.   The weight of the wireless isn't helping, and the fact that you're paying for the torps twice.

Well armed for it's size, though, I'll give it that.

Nice one

Admiralty want to maintain high speed in semi-heavy sea

QuoteShip has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
is required

A steadier gun platform is certainly possible, but with both these designs, you end up with marginal stability.  I've gone about as low as I'm comfortable with in stability on mine, 1.10, yours is a better gun platform but it's stability is only 1.04.  And, really, the primary weapons on these ships are their torps, not their guns, so I'd be comfortable with a bit less steadiness on them.

But that's me.  :)
