If things get too crowded, then we'll open up another continent.

1. that doesn't appear to be on one of the two starting continents,
2. where are your cities? I can't see any.
3. why are pictures you post often mostly blank?

The island you're on in the yellow, though, isn't one of the open islands for colonization.  The only colonizable islands at game-start are the one you're on in red (with me, DFox, and Snip) or the one directly to the east of it (with Carth & Nobody).

I suppose that will depend on how much cash we get in the final versions. As things are now one might be able to finance a dozen ports or so.

Not my fault actually. There were 3 interesting positions for me when Rock started this and this is choice 3. The two others were on continents not yet available when I made the claim (one of them would be available now though).

If we can have 6-7 instead of the 5 I was told, I'll put 2 (small) ports on the inland sea north of my main ports, ranged off the end ports in my line.  Who knows, if I have a neighbor to the west who's also on that sea, there could be small unit actions in the inland sea, if we can't come to an agreement to split the interior for our own benefit.  :)

Are 2 & 3 for Jef or me?
If for me, I've been doing more with rules than city placement. ;)
There really aren't a lot of possibilities for my cities, they will be pretty limited in layout

On the number of ports: Anywhere between 5 and 7 is fine. Im toying with a mechanic that would tie a set number of factories to the "homeland" and additional ones would require a new port. However all homelands being 5 ports, 7 ports, or the integer that resides between them would have the same cap.
