I would sincerely suggest going with the light cruiser version. If tonnage limits are ever enacted, then they will possibly be worth keeping. If they eat up larger cruiser tonnage, they are surely doomed.
So 'ere's to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, at your 'ome in old Baghdad;
You're a pore benighted 'eathen but a first-class fightin' man;
We gives you your certificate, an' if you want it signed
We'll come an' 'ave a romp with you whenever you're inclined.

As they are the same tonnage, it can be called later. They could also be rearmed with 180mm finishers if needed later. I just get quite a chuckle over these things with 210mm guns, Tho I think you really like the other one for the 24 gun QF battery ;D

Well, I did stack them...

LOL... that's gonna be a horrible shell-handling setup, with all those hoists running into each other.
Like the Brit armored cruisers with double-deck casemates- but worse.

Cant have everything be perfect on the first try ;D Trust me, a refit would happen presuming they don't become obsolescent before I get to it.

On the Emancipation class, isn't a 210mm a bit large for a deck & hoist mount?  I'd have expected those to be turret on barbette mountings.....

Jefgte

I agree with KW
Turrets are better.

My reason for having the 210mm in M&H as opposed to T&B are threefold, two OOC one IC.

1. T&B consumed .10 composite over M&H which could be put to much better use elseware, such as thicker armor and the addition of 75mm guns
2. I felt I needed a reason to go from the larger then the contemporary battleship Emancipation to the half the size of the contemporary battleship Arwing. Giving the Emancipation a glaring problem was a good way of doing that. It also gives me a good justification for the 150mm T&B/Casemate combo on the Faith.
3. I have a story in the works that involves one of these ships getting blown up, so I needed to keep them at the listed tonnage in order to make a spare to have in that story.

I desired to revisit and tweak most of these ships a while back for a verity of reasons, the biggest of which was rule changes that renders some of my ships illegal. Revised designs are presented from this post on, tho they share the same names as the ones from the prior posts.
