Triple guns in deck mounts and hoists; that would be pretty heavy, and rather difficult to aim. In fact, Refit and Repair were equipped with 4.72" guns in triple deck mounts and they were regarded as almost totally ineffectual.

Other than that, she's a very effective tin-clad cruiser; draft is shallow, speed is high, range is excellent. 4,400 tons is light enough to be produced in number, but the design is capable enough to handle a variety of roles.

Aside from the 'mount & hoist' issue, a solid ship!

Would a powered mount have to be turret and barbette, then? I'm intending to wed myself to the A-XY layout, see.

The Block I Hand class would also, of course, be somewhat limited by being the first dedicated warships of any size the Croatoans would've produced, so that flaw isn't actually inappropriate.

Possibly one of the most plentiful vessels in the naval forces of the Sovereign Military Order of St. John- and one which emphasizes the Order's focus of 'Protection Over Aggression'- is the Military Trawler, Type 2. This particular variant of the standard military trawler features simple construction, weapons largely designed for defending the vessel against large native creatures, and mine-laying equipment for securing the waters surrounding the territories of the Order.
This is just one of the three possible configurations which this hull commonly displays- there are also gunboat and customs variants, along with other various configurations for testing.
