Hell... if DF builds the little boats- the 15 tonners- Acadia might just buy a license to build them! Nice little boats to work on shallow rivers- and not so large that they couldn't be pulled out and put on stocks for the winter!

You got me a 15 ton Paddle wheeler is barely larger then the standard Mississippi and Ohio River Flat Boats and significantly lighter then most of their cargoes.

Remember a Conastoga Wagon has high sides, will float across most rivers while still carrying upwards of two tons of cargo...????

A 15 Ton Paddle Wheeler is effectively a toy....

OH, yeah- they are MUCH smaller than a riverboat's cargo.
They are basically pilot boats.

Mexico will be open to selling ships and plans, especially if they will be annoying to my neighbors... However, they will have to be "civilian" versions as the Mexican Constitution prohibits the selling of weapons of war.

In response to some of the posts regarding Texan-Mexican relationships.

- People actually think that you can get that first boat past Laredo in the summer? I want some of whatever ya'll are drinking...

- I dunno about the dams. I figure a "love hate realationship"; the governments dislike each other, but those near the border and in the auditorio of Sante Fe are culturally and economically tied to each other. Depends how much private investment could be raised.

- The Texan consititution specifically allows taking a dump on a effigy of Santa Anna once a year.

@TC Like I said I found it doubtfull, as to the Dams Private funding has always been esentialy fluf (sometimes you do get bonuses for fluf though) and LOL at the dump thing.

Tex, the Rio Grande is one fifth of what it was in the past, but yeah transportation will be dependent on weather conditions and the seasons.

Dams? Well with all the stuff that we will be shooting at each other, we might just be damming the river!  ;D
