Please post here with your official names, and what you want your encyclopedia named if different. For instance, I'm playing the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (original, huh?), but can just go by "The United Kingdom" or even "Great Britain".

TexanCowboy

Official Name - République du la Tejas (you really, really, really don't want to see the extended official name)

Encylopedia - République du la Tejas , if possible, but Tejas or Texas works if needed.

Carthaginian

The encyclopedia entry should read 'Acadie.' That will be the name of the nation, but Acadia will be the way it is generally written in english.
So 'ere's to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, at your 'ome in old Baghdad;
You're a pore benighted 'eathen but a first-class fightin' man;
We gives you your certificate, an' if you want it signed
We'll come an' 'ave a romp with you whenever you're inclined.

Desertfox

Estados Unidos Mexicanos, Mexico for short.
"We don't run from the end of the world. We CHARGE!" Schlock

Tanthalas

Dominion of Deseret, or just Deseret for short
"He either fears his fate too much,
Or his desserts are small,
Who dares not put it to the touch,
To win or lose it all!"

James Graham, 5th Earl of Montrose
1612 to 1650
Royalist General during the English Civil War

Respublika Novaya Rossiya (Republic of New Russia in English)

1. Your Country's short name: Novaya Rossiya
2. Your Country's long name: Respublika Novaya Rossiya
3. The name you'd like to use for your "Encyclopedia": Entsiklopediya
4. The name you'd like to use for your navy.: Flot
5. The name you'd like to use for your army.: Armiya
6. The name you'd like to use for your diplomacy information (has often been "palace" in Navalism3): Ministerstvo Inostrannyh Del

I would also like a section for things regarding Politics and other info on my nation called Istoriya i Politika
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

Habsburgermonarchie (Habsburg Monarchy in English).

I'm working on a history that doesn't include the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, and since we have no 'overseas' holdings at start, can't really call it an "Empire". ;)
"All treaties between great states cease to be binding when they come in conflict with the struggle for existence."
Otto von Bismarck

"Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world."
Kaiser Wilhelm

"If stupidity were painfull I would be deaf from all the screaming." Sam A. Grim

Nobody

Official name: "Deutsches Kaiserreich" or "Deutsches Reich"
But you could also call it simply "Deutschland".
I'm not sure about the encyclopedia, the name could change (over time). "Deutschland" or "Germany" would be neutral, "Deutsches Reich" would work as well.
What do others think?

@Sachmle
"Viribus Unitis"? ^^
Why black-yellow?
You seem to have a similar translation problem than me, because there is no English word which really means "Reich":
empire -> Imperium
Kingdom -> Königreich
Reich -> empire/realm

Walter

Will think of a proper long name when I get home. :)

Quoteyou really, really, really don't want to see the extended official name
But we do, we do!  ;D

Quotebecause there is no English word which really means "Reich"
Well there is... uhm... "Reich" of course as in German Reich and Third Reich. :D
I think "Realm" is probably the correct word for it.

Valles

Hmmm.

Prooooobably 'Tokugawa Bakufu'.

Yes, Viribus Unitis in German.
Black and Yellow was the national flag of the Habsburg Monarchy and the Empire of Austria prior to the Ausgleich of 1867.
As to translation, I'm limited to online applications, which leave some to be desired.

Grim

Walter

I think I will keep it simple at "Cao Wei".

Notice that I changed the title...

I had hoped that I'd be able to set it up in such a way that individual users would be able to add subforums to their encyclopedia themselves. Sadly, that's not the case.  :-\

So, I'll need:

1. Your Country's short name
2. Your Country's long name
3. The name you'd like to use for your "Encyclopedia"
4. The name you'd like to use for your navy.
5. The name you'd like to use for your army.
6. The name you'd like to use for your diplomacy information (has often been "palace" in Navalism3)

I've closely modeled this on N3 as it seemed to work. If you've already posted, feel free to update your post. In a few days I'll come through and collect the data here and start adding forums. If you'd like to see an example, I made one for Great Britain below.

TexanCowboy

Long Name - République du la Tejas
Short Name - Tejas or Texas (depends on where you're from)
Encyclopedia Name - Preferably République du la Tejas, although I can work with Tejas or Texas
Navy Name - Armada du la Tejas
Army Name - Ejército von la Tejas
Diplomacy Name - "Live by the Gun, Die by the Gun", na, not really. "Austin."

Guinness

The names are for the subforums. For instance for GB, I have:

Navy: Royal Navy
Army: British Army
Encyclopedia: Encyclopedia
Diplomacy: Foreign Office
