   £0.141 million / $0.565 million

Distribution of weights at normal displacement:
   Armament: 13 tons, 0.9 %
   Machinery: 633 tons, 46.0 %
   Hull, fittings & equipment: 509 tons, 37.0 %
   Fuel, ammunition & stores: 170 tons, 12.4 %
   Miscellaneous weights: 50 tons, 3.6 %

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
     430 lbs / 195 Kg = 8.6 x 5.0 " / 127 mm shells or 0.2 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.45
   Metacentric height 1.3 ft / 0.4 m
   Roll period: 9.8 seconds
   Steadiness   - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 70 %
         - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.11
   Seaboat quality  (Average = 1.00): 2.00

Hull form characteristics:
   Hull has a flush deck
   Block coefficient: 0.440
   Length to Beam Ratio: 10.00 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 16.43 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 40 %
   Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 35
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 0.00 degrees
   Stern overhang: 0.00 ft / 0.00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
      - Stem:      15.00 ft / 4.57 m
      - Forecastle (20 %):   10.00 ft / 3.05 m
      - Mid (50 %):      10.00 ft / 3.05 m
      - Quarterdeck (15 %):   10.00 ft / 3.05 m
      - Stern:      10.00 ft / 3.05 m
      - Average freeboard:   10.40 ft / 3.17 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
   Space   - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 174.0 %
      - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 78.5 %
Waterplane Area: 4,613 Square feet or 429 Square metres
   Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 92 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 54 lbs/sq ft or 263 Kg/sq metre
   Hull strength (Relative):
      - Cross-sectional: 0.90
      - Longitudinal: 2.43
      - Overall: 1.00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is cramped
Room for accommodation and workspaces is cramped
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Excellent seaboat, comfortable, can fire her guns in the heaviest weather

A handy little ship!
Good for paroling in the Gulf- cheap, speedy and pretty simple.

I like it, DF... really like it.
So 'ere's to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, at your 'ome in old Baghdad;
You're a pore benighted 'eathen but a first-class fightin' man;
We gives you your certificate, an' if you want it signed
We'll come an' 'ave a romp with you whenever you're inclined.

TexanCowboy

Thankfully, that's not in the gulf.

*Makes note to add a lot of secondary guns to future ships*

I presume that she use sails too.

I like the concept of torpedo gunboat
Because torpedo boat concept in 1875-77 is really short, poor, delicate, breakable...
