Rofl, Personaly I have no intention of building it.  It's just a toy to me somthing fun to play around with (as I have previously), that said it is interesting to discover you can atleast in spring sharp build a dread in 1877.

I can't find the 4 2" guns that are mounted on the sides, just the 2 that are mounted on the ends. Stacks are side-by-side? Cuz one proly won't cut it, even at 1,100shp.

Maybe I should turn em so they are more visible, but they are just little shields on the super structure.  as to the stack the ship I based it on only had one so I figured meh good enough.

Couldnt agree more Jef, by 1880 its little more than a Harbor Ornament.  I actualy uped the power of the ship she is based on by 100 IHP, that said I view her and her sister as more along the lines of proof of concept ships.  They are just here to establish my preferance for AQY.

I would like to work them over in say 1875 but IDK if that will be allowed under the rules.  It happend to alot of ships OTL though, and while I see your point about speed I either have to reduce the size of the main guns and ammount of armor to get it faster, or make it bigger.  As im lothe to reduse firepower and protection and its as large as it can legaly get under the similar ship rule im not sure what I could do any diferent.
