Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
     2,753 lbs / 1,249 Kg = 10.4 x 9.4 " / 240 mm shells or 0.7 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.72
   Metacentric height 4.2 ft / 1.3 m
   Roll period: 10.1 seconds
   Steadiness   - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 50 %
         - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.22
   Seaboat quality  (Average = 1.00): 0.95

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has low forecastle, low quarterdeck
   Block coefficient: 0.606
   Length to Beam Ratio: 6.03 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 17.23 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 13 %
   Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 52
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 0.00 degrees
   Stern overhang: 0.00 ft / 0.00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
      - Stem:      2.00 ft / 0.61 m
      - Forecastle (13 %):   2.00 ft / 0.61 m (8.01 ft / 2.44 m aft of break)
      - Mid (50 %):      8.01 ft / 2.44 m

      - Average freeboard:   6.50 ft / 1.98 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
   Space   - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 83.5 %
      - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 78.3 %
Waterplane Area: 10,736 Square feet or 997 Square metres
   Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 83 %

If it is a "broadsides ironclad", should you not use the "broadside" option for the guns instead of the "casemate mount" option?

It's an excellent weapon, with great firepower for it's size.
'Casemate' in this sense is the kind of 'casemate' that was on the C.S.S. Virginia.
