Yo, no, I premptively took it, and showed both Foxy and snip the org chart for the new Tagons Tough unit....:P

Is it a bad thing that they'll be lugging around modified 3 pounders as rifles?

"I've seen the mercenary guns. They're big. Non-standard regulation big, even."
"How big is big"
"On cold nights you could take a warm bath in them"

Walter

I would think that they'll be deadtired after a 1 mile march. ;D

TexanCowboy

Have you seen (one of the ten different) horses that each of them have?

Tanthalas

Thats a Belgian and if I remember right his name is Radar, he was the worlds largest Horse untill he was surpased by Big Jake (also a Belgian but sadly a Gelding)
"He either fears his fate too much,
Or his desserts are small,
Who dares not put it to the touch,
To win or lose it all!"

So your plan is to take a cavalry unit and give each man a towed field piece something towed in the napoleonic period by 8 horse teams and crewed by 4 to 8 men and use it as a shoulder fired weapon.

They call it a 3Lb Gun because each shot weighs 3 pounds.   That doesnt include the powder charge. :o :-X :-[

Not a problem my guys will be using a modified .45/470 on a sharps frame.

So please this is a historical simulation not FANTASY :'(

Hey! Don't dissuade him! While his men figure out how to load the piece single handed, my Apache on their little mustang ponies will have slaughtered them with bows and tomahawks...

It's Schlock! At least he will have the BFG!

Dunno about the rest tho.

Ithekro

Hand-held, hand cranked, gatling gun...with giant gravity feed bid on top.

TexanCowboy

Historical Fiction/Simulation does not a Scifi Novel make....

Bad Boys no biscut for you.

Just mount it on a cart pulled by a pair of them horses. Good thing that you are going with them. There's no way those horses will be able to live off the land.

Guinness

I'm heading to New York again for fun tomorrow. Will be back Sunday.

Darman

I just got back from participating in my first Civil War reenactment ever.  Of course, it was hot on saturday and rainy on sunday.  I am very proud to say that my unit (Co. F 12th Georgia Volunteers) kicked butt in the big battle (supposed to be Ball's Bluff) despite having only 2 men left standing at the end (hey, it was my first battle and I got tired, what else can I say?).

Walter

I will be heading to the mountains today. As mentioned before, I won't have contact until early September (just before I will be heading back to Holland).

Logi

I won't have power likely in Sunday (especially since the area of power outages is creeping closer to me) due to Hurricane Irene. So I might be absent from later today to Monday.

I guess it counts as an unpleasant vacation.
