Which program are you using Logi? I am considering developing a few ahistorical guns (like an 18+ inch gun for amphibious assault support seeing as the CSA has no islands) and that could prove useful in judging their performance.

1) Huh? Like a mortor?

2) CSA has the Bahamas and Haiti, those are islands.

Yeah, like HMS Furious but intended to fire HE most if not all of the time. Sort of a seagoing monitor with a few heavy guns to pound away fortified positions with dedicated guns, so the battleships can save their guns for taking on other battleships.

In terms of not having islands, I meant not having any in the Pacific.

I'm writing my own. It has no armor penetration values yet. I would recommend you to use Nobody's Ballistic program for now if you want armor penetration values.

I personally prefer NAaB. I have the files, but the link seems to have disappeared, so if anyone wants the files, I'll need to email them to you...

Logi

Problem with NAaB is you have to calculate out the Ballistic Coefficient, which is a hassle. I'm trying to automate the process, but I think NAaB has the best armor penetration table.

Personally I don't like BigGun very much. But I suppose it's just a quirk of mine.

The difference with the above mentioned programs is mine is designed (being designed) for use in a battle simulation, rather than a firing test.

Don't forget Nobody's program.
As to NAaB it's here
"All treaties between great states cease to be binding when they come in conflict with the struggle for existence."
Otto von Bismarck

"Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world."
Kaiser Wilhelm

"If stupidity were painfull I would be deaf from all the screaming." Sam A. Grim

Nobody

If you have any questions or ideas for my program, I would be delighted to read about it here.
