Actually they had shown to be a bit unbalanced with the events in mid-December, and most of the "crazy" would not be well known yet- this is all happening within a month so far- lightning speed.

While I don't know what the New Swiss Symbol would be.. I presume there would be one :)

As for the freighters, if 12kts, should be...about the Maldives and mid-Caribbean.

A) Enlighten me on how you propose to contact ships in the middle of the Ocean? I was thinking you might get word to them by Suez and Gibralter, but then it's a shorter distance to Odessa than home.

B) Could Guinness / CTwaterman move the chit chat to the Meeting room's Ukrainian war thread? I need to post something referring to the placeholder above for the Adriatic war, and it's hard to refer to N posts above, as they keep growing :)

Yeah it will take forever to recall the ships, but from the looks of it, they wouldn't do much anyway, they wouldn't even be able to dock.

Right now, it's about 12.5 days to Suez and 13.5 to Gibraltar, doubt there would be friendly New Swiss wireless relays before that.
From there it's about 3 and 8 days respectively to Odessa.

Even after the Ukrainian retreat at Piotrkow giving free land, the Bavarians are over 600 miles from Odessa.
The Russians are closer- only 350... thats still a very long way.

Of course events are evolving rapidly :)
