Rohan's first torpedo boat was laid down in large numbers. With three fixed 14 inch tubes above water, the intension was that the two forward tubes would be used on the approach and the aft tube as one turned way and watched to see which way the enemy vessel turned to avoid the first set of torpedoes. 21 of this type were built.

These boats will likely be retired in the near future,

Torpedo Vessels are named after Heros of the Mark. (over 8000 years of names)

ACM torpedo boats of the T1-class, these ten boats were stationed at the Easter Island coaling station until late in 1900 when the ACM broke up. These ten boats along with the Collier Generoso and two other torpedo boats, left Easter Island in an effort to escape the increasingly despotic director of the island. In their escape they encounted a pair of Salmon-class Trade Protection Cruisers still loyal to the director. The two of the torpedo boats (T25 and T30) were lost in the engagement, but the remaining boats and collier escaped. Not having old equipment, and managing to loose their actually position during the battle and during the following night, the vessels made their way northwest instead of west as originally planned. Encountering the Rohirrim Combat Cruiser Narmacil far out to sea, the former ACM personal vowed to follow the Rohirrim back, first to the USA for food and coal, then on to New Beleriand where they would live. The ten boats were inspected and after some ajustment time, added to the Fleet of the Mark in 1901.

These boats will likely be retired in the near future.

Laid down in 1901, the Shearfoot-class destroyer, named for the fallen hero Commander Uplond Shearfoot of the Valandil, will be Rohan's first turbine powered warship. Designed to handle the newer torpedo boats with heavier 4.5 and 3 inch guns the Shearfoot can also deliver 16 inch torpedoes should the situation warrent such actions. Speed is not quite as high as the turbine is suppose to achieve, and not much different from the previous model destroyer in terms of speed, but will a great increase in both surface and torpedo firepower, this destroyer type, or a successor with better range, will become the standard for the Fleet of the Mark.

Laid down as part of a joint project with the New Swiss Navy, the Radburg is one of two proposed torpedo-gunboats armed with Dynamite Guns. Experimental at this time, it is hoped that they will prove effective in combat. The second vessel was built in Rohan for delivery to the New Swiss Navy sometime in 1903.

(Note:  the 8" guns and the below water torpedo are the same thing.  The torpedo tube is there to take up the space of the dynamite gun below deck  The other tube is a fixed bow tube)
