Garrison Ahern (1913 - 1919)
President of the Republic of Eire since he was elected in 1913. Foreigners have little to no knowledge or him, but the people of Eire know him well. Garrison, though silent, toiled hard for his country. It was because of him, that Eire grew more advanced. It was him who raised the army so the children could sleep safety at home. He had a vision of a submarine defense force and build a strong one to defend Eire. Most importantly he launched Project RR, which, although not complete, is already showing brilliant results. Eire was not lacking railroads but the addition of this purpose-built railroad to connect cities and mines directly have allowed Eire to already lower the costs on their goods. Businesses are selling better than ever. However, 1917 draws near and as the next election hovers one has to question will the incumbent President remain in control? Although Ahern has done much and very well kept Eire from foreign matters, these traits may well play against him with a populace less and less isolationist.

Garrison Ahern wins the 1917 elections for another four years of isolationism.

However two years after his reelection, before the third year of his second term in office, Garrison Ahern suffered a tragic stroke in the early hours of the morning and passed away.  It was a day of mourning for Eire.

Kieran Quinlan (1919-Present)
Succeeded Garrison Ahern after his untimely death in 1919. Like Ahern, he was not a notable figure outside of Ireland until recently. One of the strongest supporters of Ahern's plans for Irish domestic affairs, he was also one of the most opposed to the strict isolationism under Ahern's rule. His appointment to President was due in part to this, and his promise to continue the projects that Ahern started, as well as the fact that he is very charismatic. Wile born and raised Catholic, he is not very religious. There is already talk of whether he will continue to hold the office of President after the remainder of Ahern's term. Time will tell whether the newly minted President will have time to flush out all of Ahern's vision, as well as his own.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
-Siegfried Sassoon
