Extract from Le Courrier du Mékong, daily news of Saigon

QuoteWar, always war !

August 10th, the Reformist Republic of China declared war to Middle Kingdom, the northern part of Old China. This news was sadly heard by merchants of Cholon and Saigon, in the middle of the rice summer harvest. "War means disorders for the business. If they had to battle and undermine the seas, we're going to lose a lot of money there ! What makes our government ?" said a rich anonymous trader

Extract of a conversation surprised in the park of the presidential palace, between two high Indochinese advisers

Quote
- What do they propose ?
- A sort of return at departure point. Good relations, trade between our two nations, some military protection.
- Did they formally undertake ?
- No. For now. The president is studying their offer.  It seems that negotiators are soon going to leave meeting them, by hoping that they reach destination.
- If they pointed out, it would cause a great scandal !
- President Sarrault will be assume this risk. But he knows our weakness too.

The only difference, between the balls of July 14th and the French Revolution, it is the size of firecrackers and the direction towards which we launch them.

There is only one option......

Airdrop rice on the Chinese negotiators until they suffocate to death in a sea of rice!  ;D

If I had some tar and feathers, it would be good for your skin. ;D

Tar is made from pine wood.

Below 40 degrees, there is no law. Below 50 degrees, there is no God. sailor's maxim on weather in the Southern seas

Eh, it can be produced from oil as well.

QuoteTar-like products can also be produced from other forms of organic matter such as peat. Mineral products resembling tar can be produced from fossil hydrocarbons including petroleum. Coal tar is produced from coal as a byproduct of coke production. Bitumen is a term used for natural deposits of oil "tar" - such as at the La Brea Tar Pits.

Ah... so you admit we can get Tar from other sources....  I assume Indo China has its own source of chicken feathers and a split rail.
Just Browsing nothing to See Move Along

Split rails are rather hard to come by in that part of the world..... ;D

Carthaginian

Meh... tie a few bamboo poles together and they'd work just as good as a split rail.

Carthaginian

OF course, the Confederacy would be happy to export a few rails for support to the right party. ;)

Of course, should the CSA decide to support the MK, that $100-$125 invested in the RRC IC won't be returned~.

Carthaginian

Whoever said that the MK was the right party.

The CSA denied the sale of a few subs to someone they didn't want to possibly threaten the balance of power in the region. Now that the balance is disturbed... things might be different.

Just a very gentle reminder ;)

I think Article VII of the Treaty of Shanghai should be re-read (writes the treaty writer).
