Ships Lost or overdue around the world

SS Savoia 4,000 GRT, struck a mine off Genoa and sunk, September 2nd

Italian Coaster  500 GRT, struck a mine off Genoa and sunk, September 2nd

Italian Port of Genoa is closed to merchant traffic till September 10th as the Italian navy uses improvised mine sweepers to clear the mine field.  20 Mines are destroyed during this time period.

September 4th a pair of coaster out of Goa strike mines and are sunk.
Brandenburg Navy spends two weeks sweeping a high density minefield off the port.  One of the mine sweepers is damaged, 87 mines are found and destroyed during the clearing operation.

SS Mexique 4,000 GRT, French, west bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 10th

SS Pride of Norfolk 6,000 GRT, Confederate, east bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 11th

SS El Sol 3,000 GRT, Gran Columbia, Strike a mine in the Straits of Gibraltar and sunk, September 11th

SS Bathori 1,000 GRT, Hapsburg, Strikes a mine in the Straits of Gibraltar and sunk, September 11th

SS El Cid 5,000 GRT, Iberian, strikes a mine in the straits of Gibraltar and sunk, September 12th
Iberian Navy spends next week sweeping waters of Straits of Gibraltar, several dozen free floating mines are discovered and destroyed in the straits and the waters East.  During this time period Iberian Navy organizes convoys to move through the straits with Iberian Warships as escort.  Two Iberian mine sweepers are damaged during the clearing operation. 

SS Esterel 6,000 GRT, French, east bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 13th

SS Quercy, 1,000 GRT, French, east bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 14th

SS Barfleur, 500 GRT, French, 2 masted brig, west bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 14th

SS Eridan, 3,000 GRT, East bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 15th

SS Andex, 4,000 GRT, East bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 16th

SS Britannia, 8,000 GRT, Liner, East bound on North Atlantic route, is over due and declared missing September 17th

October 10th Green Cross Regional HQ Rome:

The Empire of Italia today released the names, ranks, and ships of the over 2500 New Swiss Prisoners of war and their health status to the Green Cross to be forwarded to the New Swiss Government in Phoenix. 

The Names of over 7 Cruisers and 45 destroyers appear among the ships listed as loss in action and from which survivors have been recovered.   In addition the crews of several dozen local freighters utilized by the New Swiss were rescued and have been included in the list.  They represent the crews from over a Dozen or more New Swiss ships lost off the coast of New Zion.
