GOVERNOR SCHNEE SHOT
Saturday Septermber 13, 1919

Early yesterday morning Heinrich Albert Schnee, Governor of Deutsche Ostafrika, was shot while travelling down Zweig Road NE to his office in downtown Dar-es-Salaam from him home. Police and a Gendarmerie unit from Naval Station Dar-es-Salaam began a search of the area surrounding the incident. No one was located, but a spent 7x57 shell casing was found under a tree at the top of a small hill crest overlooking the road Governor Schnee traveled to work.

The latest condition report is not well, but certainly an improvement over when Governor Schnee first arrived at the Naval Hospital. The bullet apparently struck him just a few millimeters from his heart, narrowly missing his trachea on the way out the back. Governor Schnee remember leaning over to get his windproof cigar lighter just as he felt an immense pain in his chest and started having trouble remaining conscious. He just barely pulled his car over before passing out. An aide who was following quickly rushed him to the naval hospital.

SECOND SHOOTING VICTIM IDENTIFIED
Monday September 15th, 1919

The victim of a second Friday shooting has been identified as Officer Hans Grüber of the Dar-es-Salaam Police Department. Officer Grüber was investigating a report of suspicious persons inside the abandoned Oster-Maier slaughter house on Zweig Road NE. After not hearing from him for a few hours Sergeant Max von Sydow sent a group of officers to the facility to locate Officer Grüber. Upon arrival they observed part of the board blocking the employee entrance side door was broken, allowing access to the inside door handle. Once inside officers found fresh footprints and several used candles. In a large area used to transfer the slaughtered meat to rail cars they found the body of Officer Grüber, shot once in the chest. Later investigation discovered a spent 7x57mm casing on a catwalk above the rail car area. It appears to be of the same manufacture of the one located nearby where Governor Schnee was shot on Friday morning.

THE WAR IS OVER!!
October 27th, 1919

The War pitting the Kaiserreich, the Kingdom of Italia, and the Kaiserlich und königlich Österreich-Ungarn against the Kingdom of (New) Zion and the Republic of (New) Switzerland has ended in victory for the allied Kingdoms. The fate of (New) Zion now rests in the hands of the treaty writers. As for the Swiss, they've ran with their tail between their legs minus quite a few warships and a corps or so of men left behind in (New) Zion.

It's a newspaper headline. Since when does the news print what REALLY happened instead of what sells papers?

So in reality, the war is far from over in the eyes of the DKB. :)

Well.......there WAS a "Welcome Home" party for the returning Swiss fleet, but our timing was off and we missed them. ;)

Not even the DKB it seems. That is why the DKB will never be able to truly defeat the Swiss. It's time for them to get together and come up with something that makes sense... but that will probably take centuries with their current attitude. :D

OTOH The Swiss inva...err... welcome home party of the DKB is scheduled for precisely November 3rd, 1954 at 5:37:33 am. Sorry for taking so long, but you see we have like 10 other parties to trow first... ;D
