Iberia and its future

As some might or might not have noticed I haven't posted much of late. I don't think this stance is going to change much in the short term.  As of this moment consider Iberia to be in a state of holding.  I will attempt to do their budget but not much beyond that to be honest.  If you send me a message don't be surprised if I don't respond for several days.

Also if for some reason some one REALLY wanted to play Iberia, unlikely I figure as there are several larger nations open, it wouldn't take much to talk me out of the leadership of Iberia.

Mike, is there anything we can do to help?  Or are you just feeling burned out on the sim in general?

My issue has multiple levels to it.

1) I am not burned out so much as bored
2) Nothing of interest is going on, I liked writing that pirate story.  It was a great deal of fun but it was there and gone.
3) At this point I have no real objectives for Iberia.  In theory we are to thump the Ottomans / 2nd Caliphate but its not interesting.  The economic numbers for a Hapsburg - Iberian vs. 2nd Caliphate war are horribly one sided and the OOB reflect that.  I wouldn't expect to get off scott free again but I have no doubt on the outcome either.  There is a great background of distrust and rotten diplomacy between Iberia and the Dutch but I have no Dutch player to spare with or plot against or worry about.  DF is interesting but the NS and Iberia don't bump.  RRC isn't a blue water threat.  Looking into the future all I see is more economics and no end point.
4) When my grandmother passed and I stopped thinking about the game; I never got back into the habit.   Odds are this is because of 1 - 3.

If something interesting that effects me comes up my attitude might change or if some time goes by my attitude might change.  For right now I just don't know and felt it would be best to alert people, as I said I will attempt to do the economics.

I just realized something, for you sport fans, the NS tactics seem very similar to the way the Phoenix Suns (Basketball) Run'n'Gun and the Arizona Cardinals (American 'football') all offense, no defense style of play. Talk about coincidences.

Real life knocks the hell out of all of us at times, Mike.
You go and do as you need to, and peak back in when it's convenient. If you get around to posting some budgets, that's fine. If not, then we'll just say that you're in a period of 'civil strife' and wait till it ends to get back to dealing with Iberia.

And who knows... there might just be some other nations in the market for allies by then. ;)
