Looking at my current research and other related tech I'll be able to lay this down no later than 2/21 and could be as early as 1/21. I can lay down a variant with 1916 engines in 2/20, but decided to wait on the engine tech.

Not sold on the cruiser. It's a great deal bigger than the New Swiss 8" Olympia for only marginal advantages.  The NS can field nearly 2 of theirs for each of yours, which makes those advantages less. Projecting forward, it may not have significant advantages over the 1922 NS cruiser class either.

The S-101s will be very formidable craft; except for the difference in transmission types, they're essentially a superior-in-every-way answer to my own 'fleet designs', right down to the fully enclosed main mounts.

The KK design is substantially larger than my own escort cruiser designs, and not as well armed or protected. Any direct action even on a one-on-one basis wouldn't go well for it, I think... But the six-knot speed advantage is compelling even for me.

I have no equivalent of the GK design, nor am I likely to. It represents a ship type that, while useful, is not critical, and until DF finishes committing suicide, I'm simply not going to be able to afford something like that.

All in all, while I personally would probably do a number of things rather different, particularly in regards to the crusers' armor, they're very capable and effective vessels that I do not particularly look forward to dealing with. ^_^

NUS had similar GK-14000t project with more guns & lighter protection on a similar hull.
Idem for the light cruiser KK-8500t.

The 1500t DD is correct with a high speed.

The KK I'd classify to be a 'minimum' design I like - armor and firepower strictly kept down to the requirements to minimize cost.
The GK I don't like. Not powerful enough against anything larger, but 6" armor is excessive against 6" guns, and just there are not that many 8" gunned ships around. I'd go for 6-8x11", but a too large design won't fit the lvl3 infrastructure DKB has.

Alternatively, as the DKB cannot afford both cruiser classes in numbers, merge the two for a reduced 32kts 8x21cm design on 11-12000t.

Well, I won't do a 6 gun ship, nor will I do a tin clad. 6 guns isn't enough for effective spotting IMHO and if it's not armored to withstand it's own rounds it's underarmored.

I agree.
That's why the CSA has similar designs ready for production when the engine tech matures.

Well, you've got 3 sim yrs to get those 2BP built up. That's only $200/yr or $100/hy :D

The economy version has 80mm deck, kinda thick.

The economy version has 80mm deck, kinda thick.
Ya..noticed after.. it's an almost direct copy of Algerie. 21cm instead of 8", 13cm instead of 4", 50mm instead of 40mm, 15mm instead of 13.2mm, 60cm TT instead of 55cm, 0.1m beamier, same speed/length/draft/armor.

Cut deck to 50mm used the extra strength to up the freeboard, speed, and make the belt deeper
