With the introduction of the three turret concept in both the battleship and combat cruiser designs, the Eldacar-class was the first Rohirrim 9 inch gun cruiser laid down since 1888. With the number of 9 inch guns, the new Combat Cruiser was formidable. Especially with a potential eight gun broadside of 9 inch guns and six 4.5 inch guns. Two of this class where made before Rohan attemped to increase the speed again.

In 1901 Rohan laid down a third Narmacil-class Combat Cruiser. This vessel took advantage of improvements in engine technology which allows for a longer ranged version of the Narmacil. Narmacil and Romendacil will eventually be rebuilt in the future, either to match this standard or to reflect other engine improvements (such as fuel oil or even superimposing "B" turret).

Probably the last Combat Cruiser of the Mark, the Valandil takes the superimosed turret design to the next level by adding a fourth turret.  With a speed of nearly 25 knots, this cruiser will be able to outrun almost anything it can't defeat on the open waves.
