#15
July 3 noon .  Napoleon the Great and her escorts pass 34°13' South 25°39' East, Heading 70° @ 21 kts, with only 1000 Nm to go before reaching the destination, oil isn't the problem.

But, with the latest wireless message, Captain Louis knows he's risking a lot. But orders are orders, the destination needs to be reached as soon as possible. Still, the 3 great ships are at full alert.

I'm sorry Mr Ambassador but for the duration of the war these rules will remain in effect.

Excellency I will take your reply to my government.  Good Day.

Walter

Yes! Go kick the Orange ambassador out of the country! :D

The Rock Doctor

The Republic of Gran Colombia does not acknowledge the right of Orange to impose jurisdiction of any kind outside its twelve mile territorial sea.

Having declared its neutrality in this conflict, Gran Colombia fully expects complete freedom of passage for its merchant and military shipping in international waters.

President Hoover, after reading the Orange declaration, drafts a notice to the Confederate Congress asking them to declare the Moon to be within the newly established 'Confederate Prosperity Zone' and insists that since all the light reaching the Earth by night (or at least all visibly appreciable light), the declaration should include a perfectly logical tax on all nations using that light.

President Hoover also notes within the draft how foolish such a declaration would be... and how foolish that ANY similar arbitrary declaration would be, no matter who makes it nor how 'reasonable' it might seem to them.

Thus, the Confederacy points at the Hague Accords and flatly refuses to obey any 'claiming the moon' laws.
So 'ere's to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, at your 'ome in old Baghdad;
You're a pore benighted 'eathen but a first-class fightin' man;
We gives you your certificate, an' if you want it signed
We'll come an' 'ave a romp with you whenever you're inclined.

Paris, early morning July 2nd. Offices of Premier Galpoux.

Dear ambassador. It seems your government has taken steps to antagonize a lot of countries.
I can speak for France in this case, we'll respect, as we always did, the nautical territories as pointed out in the Den hague treaties concerning the 7 seas. But a 100 nautical mile zone, that is plain idiocy.
If the Orange Republic finds any reason to harras any French vessel, or should I say Nassau treaty vessel, between the Den Hague demarqued area and the arbitrarely Orange Republic 185 km zone , I myself will sign the needed documents to deal with that situation even before Parliament can vote on those.
You can inform your government, by wire or wireless or whatever  methode you please, like tamtam, bullroarer or smokesignals that France will not recognize the 100 nautical mile idiocy.

Enjoy your breakfast, I have more important things to arrage now.

The East Sea confederation does not acknowledge the right of Orange to impose jurisdiction of any kind outside its twelve mile territorial sea.

Having declared its neutrality in this conflict, Esc fully expects complete freedom of passage for its merchant and military shipping in international waters.

Any attempts to stop and search any Leipzig nations ships in international waters will be regarded as an act of piracy and will thus be punished in accordance with Esc laws.

(Very draconian punishment).

If need be the Esc navy will escort any vessel of the Leipzig nations.

QuoteVery draconian punishment
I think a proper text needs to be sent to the crews of the Orange warships to make clear to them what will happen to them. :)

Minstrel:
QuoteHe was not in the least bit scared
To be mashed into a pulp.
Or to have his eyes gouged out,
And his elbows broken.
To have his kneecaps split
And his body burned away,
And his limbs all hacked and mangled
Brave Sir Robin.

His head smashed in
And his heart cut out
And his liver removed
And his bowls unplugged
And his nostrils raped
And his bottom burnt off
And his pen--
*knocks minstrel out with a big hammer*

Pretoria, a copy of the manuscript is delivered to all embassies and every know major newspaper worldwide

The Orange Government is increasingly concerned about the ongoing mindless mass killing between the Italian invaders and the Zionist who desperately try to defend their home soil.

We invite all non-participants of the war to discuss possibilities to end this useless fighting and search for solutions to prevent future conflicts.

To the self proclaimed "allied" forces: Why are you attacking a small and hard pressed country like New Zion? And why do you assist Italy to fight this unjustified war?
If you think, that we'll continue to stand at the sideline and watch you crushing a little country forever, than you are quite mistaken.

Thank you.

*Speech by Chancellor Bloemendal*

TexanCowboy

Romania will be attending.

The Rock Doctor

Gran Colombia will not attend, but wishes Orange the best of luck in this endeavour.

Reply from France

The New Zion issue ain't a big concern for France, it's the unprovoked attack on a Djibouti cruiser squadron by the complete New Swiss ocean going fleet, that sought, and found refuge in New Zion.
If new Zion expells those NS ships and troops, there wouldn't be any reason for France to look at New Zion whatsoever.
