The planned upgrading of the army has been postponed for a year, since the funds

available hasn't been adequate apart from a minor upgrade of the fortress corps.

Also the scrapping of the two Ultor class Bb and the three old cruisers of the Ise

class is also being postponed apart from removing the main armament of the

Battleships and ready them for their future role as coastal defenses, which will

commence during the fall and for the rest during 1919.

The completion of the first 4 Corvettes in Esc, as being the first dedicated ASW

vessels in the navy, the exercises with these vessels is look upon with high

expectations, which will determine if further vessels will be commissioned in the

future.

A cooperative company made up by leading wharf owners in the Baltic area, has

worked together, and created a joint design bureau under the name of: Design

Bureau Hamburg that will try to gain international building orders, and also provide

designs for both foreign and domestic costumers.

The Krupp/Bofors Company has started the development of a 280 mm gun for the

use in a new class of Fleet cruisers and is also lining up for the development of a

455mm gun starting in the New Year. The plan is construct at least 3 455mm gun

for testing in 1921, when the gun is finished its development.

Most certainly Vizeadmiral,it is progressing better than expected.

Do you really think they will fall for it?

I am quite convinced that we will succeed to the utmost, already now are we yielding some results and it is my firm belief that it will yield even further results in the coming year.

Then we better keep in the wraps for the time being.


At the same time a group of theoretical Physicist is gathering at the "Institute Des

Theoretisches Physic" is gathering in Berlin lead by Max Planck.
