I thought the rule was 230 feet. Thats what it says in the rules.

My bad. I've been 'metric-ified' since taking over DKB. Weird though..usually the metric max will get you a little more length, here the opposite.

I'm a die-hard imperialist. My solution to the metric system with Ireland was just to build subs which needed no sim. 8)

EDIT: Oh wait that came out wrong. I meant I support the Imperial system.

So, any complaints? I may build these for export for the right price.

If you put a Positive angle on the bow the ship ends up longer then what you  laid down so thats increasing you total length of the ship.

The stage two of the Romanian modern building plan. Hopefully, two of these, along with 4 of the light design, will be laid down in H2. I don't have any dock space in H1, due to the refitting of the Pluches and others. When these ships are constructed, the Romanian Navy will reorganie into two destroyer platoons, each with one of these, two of the light destroyers, 3-4 of the Pluches, and maybe 2 of the the Bucharesti's.

Nice firepower for their size - but I am puzzled by gun layout - 6 single mounts all centreline - no superfiring - is it 3 pairs back-to-back?

   + 6 x 3" (3 each side) - and 7 TTs (why odd number?)

- is someone going to say NEDS??  ;)

The Rock Doctor

I meant to say NEDS, but was too tired last night.  I've got doubts about the five-inchers all by themselves, never mind the other ones.

TexanCowboy

Odd layout, and I know it. The torpedos are in a interesting arrangment. There are 1 triple tube, and two twin tubes. One of the twins is superfiring over the triple tube, and the other twin is next to it. Also, yes, the 5'' guns are back to back, 2 on each end and 2 in the middle.

Tanthalas

I think I agree NEDS (and you almost never hear that from me)

It's based on a ship you created, Tanthalas, the Saipan class. Just bigger guns.

That being the point, the Saipans were crowded with 4" guns, and then you went and added the 3" guns.  Having drawn the Saipan class I know how tight the deck was/is.  there literaly isnt anywhere to mount the 3" guns.  You can get away with a few MGs scaterd about the ship but thats about it.

Removed the 3'' guns and increaed the freeboard.

I ask, what will the .5" machine guns shoot?
