just sticking my head round the door ;D

hi to the new guys :)

just droping this off

robs revenge [aka radio amy], varies pirate radio station laid down 1918

based on the mv ross revenge also known as the transmitter ship for Radio Caroline
The ross revenge was built as a trawler in germany in 1960

Displacement:
   1,782 t light; 1,828 t standard; 2,298 t normal; 2,674 t full load

Dimensions: Length overall / water x beam x draught
   219.82 ft / 219.82 ft x 33.79 ft x 19.69 ft (normal load)
   67.00 m / 67.00 m x 10.30 m  x 6.00 m

Armour:
   - Belts:      Width (max)   Length (avg)      Height (avg)
   Main:   0.39" / 10 mm     98.43 ft / 30.00 m   19.69 ft / 6.00 m
   Ends:   Unarmoured
Main Belt covers 69 % of normal length
Main belt does not fully cover magazines and engineering spaces

   - Torpedo Bulkhead:
      7.18" / 182 mm     98.43 ft / 30.00 m   19.69 ft / 6.00 m

Machinery:
   Diesel Internal combustion motors,
   Hydraulic drive, 1 shaft, 3,839 shp / 2,864 Kw = 16.50 kts
   Range 12,000nm at 12.00 kts
Bunker at max displacement = 846 tons

Complement:
   165 - 215

Cost:
   £0.164 million / $0.654 million

Distribution of weights at normal displacement:
   Armament: 0 tons, 0.0 %
   Armour: 551 tons, 24.0 %
      - Belts: 36 tons, 1.6 %
      - Torpedo bulkhead: 515 tons, 22.4 %
      - Armament: 0 tons, 0.0 %
      - Armour Deck: 0 tons, 0.0 %
      - Conning Tower: 0 tons, 0.0 %
   Machinery: 139 tons, 6.0 %
   Hull, fittings & equipment: 492 tons, 21.4 %
   Fuel, ammunition & stores: 516 tons, 22.5 %
   Miscellaneous weights: 600 tons, 26.1 %

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
     4,390 lbs / 1,991 Kg = 40.6 x 6 " / 152 mm shells or 1.9 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.07
   Metacentric height 1.1 ft / 0.3 m
   Roll period: 13.5 seconds
   Steadiness   - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 51 %
         - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.00
   Seaboat quality  (Average = 1.00): 1.95

Hull form characteristics:
   Hull has a flush deck
   Block coefficient: 0.550
   Length to Beam Ratio: 6.50 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 14.83 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 55 %
   Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 26
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 0.00 degrees
   Stern overhang: 0.00 ft / 0.00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
      - Stem:      13.12 ft / 4.00 m
      - Forecastle (20 %):   13.12 ft / 4.00 m
      - Mid (50 %):      13.12 ft / 4.00 m
      - Quarterdeck (15 %):   13.12 ft / 4.00 m
      - Stern:      13.12 ft / 4.00 m
      - Average freeboard:   13.12 ft / 4.00 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
   Space   - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 120.4 %
      - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 76.2 %
Waterplane Area: 5,028 Square feet or 467 Square metres
   Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 161 %

the cost of bilding i will leave that to the moderators in case the are some additional costs

fry me a mars bar i will be back for lunch! 8)

I think your misc weights are ok. You can probably sim her with the merchant rules, while paying full freight for your functional misc weight, etc.

It might be a tad early though. The first commercial AM broadcasts OTL didn't happen until 1920 or so.

well i am not stopping around [or doing anything] its more as some thing interesting that you guys may be able to use

and i am off again see you all some time
