Army Costs

Desert Fox if you want to improve the army you need to reduce the maintenance costs but you voted against that?????

The Cost of the Units is expensive but not prohibitevely so as an example as the Mughal Empire I purchased a number of units and did so in slow steps.  1st a Unit of Tribal Militia, then Dated, then 1905.  You might not be able to afford a full Corp of 5/3 in one HY but how about over 2 or 3 HY.  Nothing I saw said you had to create the units in a day.

My Complaint was not that I couldnt buy a whole new Unit of say 5/3 Infantry its that I couldnt do so and pay maintenance on it at the same time.   Adding a few Brigades of Light Tanks, and Motorization of say 1 out 5 Units in my Army meant even more upkeep cost which I couldnt realistically afford if I wanted to have money left to spend on Infrastrucutre and well the odd new ship.

The Maintenance cost on the new Armored Brigades and Armored Car brigades rival the Cost of a Corp just a few years out of date.


As for my Army Maintenance bill and its size I blame it all on New Zion;D :D :o

I didn't vote against that. Or at least I think I didn't.

It's not that the units are expensive, its that I have absolutely no free capacity to do anything with my army, and thats with 2/3rds of it already in reserve.
