A New Map...

I have been working on a new map for the world.  Its very big and its not by any means done.

There are two files there

map.zip that has the map I want people to look at.  Extract the files, double click on index.html, let active X control work and then browse.

It just occured to me...  There are all sorts of places online to get free storage of files.

world-map.gif is the raw map file if someone is really brave and wants to make edits.  The map is a hearts of Iron map I found online and have been making changes to.  I am not done so there are all sorts are errors and things need to added like Brandenburg and Moaria.

Excellent...  Now that everyone can see the map.  I will resume working on things.

If anyone wants to nit pick borders, land masses, etc feel free. 

I just want to say that this map is not intended to be a perfect copy of the world.  I wanted something to better show how controls what.  For somethings a higher detail map is really needed.

I have a quip about the MK-RRC border.

I should have the province Sichuan definitely. I might have Qinhai too. It was my understanding that the RRC-Mk split went from the Rivers to the Qinling Mts (which are located above Qinhai and in the middle of Xinjiang). That's it from me.

I added Sichuan to RRC.  As to Qinhai looking at a geographic map of China I am not sure how your forces would have been able to establish control there.  The Tibetan Plateau is a massive political and geographic barrier for you.  If you had forces in there to hold it there are only 4 passes that go through the mountain range North to South so it would be easy to hold but getting in there in the first place looks like it would be a bitch.  Your and mods call as to who has it I can make a change easy enough.

Anyone else have any change requests?  I will make a new post when I upload a new version of the map; which I haven't.

I think there is some thing wrong with Australia

The lakes look to be to Far West
And to small they seem to be about 25-30% of the size they should be

The border between firanji and the NS should be reversed in angle running though the lakes

This is all based on the existing maps,which are a bit out of date [1909]
I gather there was a bit of a punch up that may have changed things so this may be incorrect in part any way not the lakes though unless a god turned up recently and tweaked them

then again i could be completly wrong but i dont think so

Bonin and Volcano Islands are marked Iberian but they should be marked as Japanese.

The borders of Parana are IMO incorrect - the North and North-West. But not by much. Don't bother ...

There also is the Tirol business ...
