I think it's a map projection thing - the land masses are somewhat distorted at higher latitudes.

I figured it was a larger-than-historical Australia + DKB/Maoria thing.

The world from the other side (real world to show the distortion one gets from that angle)

Side note, anyone know if we there is a program we can use put the Navalism world on a globe and using the first map projection as a guild?  Thus being able to see what the world (and some of the new landmasses) look like when they are not distorted....cause Maoria is way distorted really.
