Born December 15, 1861

Having served a lifetime as lawyer, judge, and politician
in the Grand Duchy of Finland, Svinhufvud now serves as
Regent.
He has always played a major role in the movement for
continued Finnish autonomy.

Commander-in-Chief

Baron Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim

Born June 4, 1867

Commander-in-Chief of Finland's Defence Forces, Marshal of Finland,
a politician, and a military commander.

He started his military career in the Imperial Russian army, serving as
commander of the Guards Cavalry Brigade.

Pehr Evind Svinhufvud, appointed Mannerheim as Commander-in-Chief of
Finland's Army of White Guards.
