main and end belt thiner at bottom main thickness 100 and 50 mm respectivley

well what does every one think of these three ships
are they the good the bad and the ugly
or the three musketers

mentat

vs DDS - I'd have thought 2 of the smaller ships: 5-5.5k tons and 10-12 5.5s each is a better option than one bigger ship - in this role

? - is the intended role of the 8k ton vs DDs?

if going with an 8k ton design - could carry 10/12 6" instead - more useful vs CLs - more space for the TTs

- main issue is what are they for/what is the likely opposition?

sgdn

the tel class mainly scouting showing the flag messing with light weight opposition

the gar marr class is a tel on steriodes bit of fun and would a ch with lots of small guns be effective

garnisis class [the gar marr with big guns] is back up for the battleships and providing some thing for when a battleship is overkill

but mainly they are cruisers

mentat

Sorry - I missed the 250 mm gun version - interesting but 6 main battery (maybe 9.2" - if you have?) in 3x2 or 2x3 gives better FC - I think there would be room without disturbing the pos'n of the secrys

sgdn

dont have any thing between 25cm and 14cm realy appart from 15 cm

mentat

Never mind - they'll be very intimidating :D

sgdn

and in the case of the garnisis class thats it

I quite like her, but the armour scheme seems odd.
The 5mm upper belt is pointless, it adds less protection then the hull plating, and the end belts have zero length, so are non-existent.

Hi  good to see you are looking at an intermediate calibre

They look interesting - but not so sure about such heavy guns side mounted and the secondaries are very light - not really sufficient to engage TBDs at range and stop them

suggest - 1 more centreline twin main and use wt saved to incease the secondaries to 8/10 x 140mm ? :)
