As I find the members here more knowledge (well about generally everything), what better place to ask a hard question (for me) than here?

I was thinking about a formula to calculate the impact of transportation investment. After some tinkering around i came up with one:

{[POP^3(sqrt-IC)]/(TP)^2}/100

*note: TP = transportation investment

Basically population and infrastructure makes transportation investments work better. However, population is more valuable than infrastructure. I tested the equation on France, Bavaria, and RRC with 50 TP or 20 TP. It seemed to work fine, but I'm interested to know where I could make it better. ???

This should be in the General Discussion, but can't post there so...

IMHO Invest a lot of IC in the area in question, that'd come with building a RR to the industrial centers (and pester the mods until they agree). Then build a military RR (with $/BP cost) from those centers to whichever border you want.
