With the 1st of the Neue Nassau Klasse schlachtshiffen nearing completion the Admiralstab has begun work on the next klasse to be laid down. Deciding that 8 guns was not enough a design was drawn up mounting 10 of the new 35cm/L45 naval rifles. It was also decided that the 105mm QF were unnecessary and that the 15cm gun was a sufficient secondary caliber given the distances most battles seem to be being fought at. A tertiary battery of 88mm QFs were provided for close in anti TB work as well as a quartet of 37mm guns for anti balloon work. The armor scheme of the Neue Nassau class was maintained for the most part, with the noted exception of the main deck being thinned to 60mm from 75mm to counter the top weight of the extra superfiring turret in "Bruno" position.

I'd say thinning down the deck is bad idea. You should to increase beam and length (thus displacement) for required stability. If you decrease steadiness to 50%, the 2 extra gun more than compensate for it. I'd also increase draught.

Huh, you're right it is. I was just doing a Konigesque ship w/ 35cm guns..but it does look alot like yours. Great minds think alike?

Well there are some differences.  My design has less belt armor, less speed, mount and hoist secondaries and Q turret is raised above the main deck.  The latter was the only way I could figure to have room for the secondaries on the main deck.
