The following ship is planned for the use of the Orange Marine for offensive operations. Speed is 16kts - high enough even in WWII. Cost is 1.35 in $ and BP. For 800-1200 marines, with their equipment and supplies, plus additional boats and motor launches for all of them.

A small troop transport/amphibious ship, capable of delivering a company's (~2-300men) of troops to medium distances, usually below 2000nm, around Africa. The bunker capacity is mainly for fuel flexibility.
Fits in the smallest docks. Low stability is the usual SS2 bug thinking misc weight being high up.

I assume 400t of the misc weight is for troops and equipment capacity, the rest are cranes, boats and such. Therefore 1000t light displacement for 0.25BP cost.
VTE engines would cost another ~100t.
