Today it was announced that starting in July major slip expansion will occur at Neue Brandenburg, Neue Kiel, and Dar-es-Salaam. When asked the reason for this a Naval Officer stated that the need for more Kleiner Kruezers had outstripped the available number of 170 meter slipways.

Also it was announced that a crew will be shipped to Venice Italy to begin preparation work for taking over the Schlachtshiffe Koeningsland, due to be finished in July 1919. This crew will train with their Italian counterparts to learn the details of this new vessel of the Kaiserliche Marine. They will also be on hand to assist Italian ship builder install the newest EFD (Entfernungsmesser-und Feuerkontrolle-Direktor, I.E. 1912 FC) once it is delivered in early 1919.

Also it appears that many existing vessels will be refitted with this EFD over the course of 1919-1920. However the Linienschiffen Kürfurst Friedrich Wilhelm, Panzisch, and Indisch will only receive the older model EFD with it's more limited capabilities (1908 FC).

Sigh,

I was hoping that Brandenburg exploits the opportunity, and goes for the big target - Italian East Africa. Now the rest of the Nverse against Desertfox part four is really getting a bit letdown, honestly.

That Desertfox' diplomacy is about as flexible as cast iron does not help.

Sorry to disappoint, but I signed a treaty and I stick to my word. Plus even with Italy distracted I don't think I have the equipment to take the whole colony, especially with French and CSA warships already off the coast.
