First up is a dedicated scout variant of the Lavi II class destroyer. One gun is removed and space made for an observation ballon. Part of the support equipment for the ballon replaces some of the machinery, so these ships are only capable of 27 knots. Three are to be built.

These are a low cost torpedo boat that can be built in numbers. Should be quite handy around the Rift. Numbers built is still up in the air.

Another, this time not-so-new ship. A fast civilian coastal transport, this ship will make some apperances in the news.

It is not usually armed with a 50mm gun, but has the capability. Has a crew of five, plus four passengers...

Ah! He has a Malcolm Reynolds on a ship called Serenity. But that Serenity is a full blown battlecruiser with over 1,000 crewmembers. It doesn't have a doctor with his sister, a reverend who can shoot, a hired gunman, a hot 'courtesan', and a very cute and hot mechanic.  Also the captain of said ship will be one Malachi Reichmann... ;)

The Dutch TBs:

210ft by 18ft, that is 40ft shorter and 3 ft skinnier than my design. The torpedo tubes on the Seeekan will be fixed (PT style), so everything should fit with plenty of space. I didn't even get the extremly poor warning on space.

LOL well actualy in later story lines about Capitan Reynolds, you will get introduced to his hot wife (come on we all want em to get hitched anyway), the Ships Doctor (who has a sister in the NS inteligence service), the Ships Chaplin (who will be bang up in a fight), and havnt quite figured out how to fit in the shief eng. yet

Rocky, you're just being friendly.
I wouldn't target the ship, but a nice Tungushka would do nicely over some capitals.

Desertfox

Hmm... my storyline could work without Mal or Book. It might even work better that way. I won't be using Jayne either so feel free to use him, but I'll definately be using the rest of the crew. They'll be joining fellow smugglers, mercenaries, pirates, and scoundrels under my control. Mwuhahahha!!!

Taugon: Check
Sparrow: Check (but gotta spring him from prision first)
Solo: On it's way...
Nemo: Gotta finish that sub first.

I'm pretty sure I missed some more.

actualy the Capitan in question was on shit detail already he got removed from it to comand the purpose built Blimp Carrier (not the one that killed the airship).

The  observation balloon on ships idea ain't new, and is not any problem in itself.

Of couse, that's for tethered versions.  And I yet have to discover a better way to advertise the presence of a fleet unit.

Maybe adding the newly invented Neon discharge lamp on the sides?

And of the 80 tons misc weight, at least 20 tons is dedicated to hydrogen production and storage.
I like to see how the ship handles battledamage in those parts.
