Isn't 15cm a little heavy for use on a DD at this point in time?

It was considered to develop a 115mm gun ,instead decided to use the new 150mm Quick firing gun as to keep uniformity in medium caliber guns.

I only ask as I tried to put a 6" on one and was met w/ concerns over heavy shells and lively ships.

IMO 6" twins on such a vessel are ridiculous. The Narviks found such mounts barely usable, yet were almost three times as large.
But then again, I'm the Dilusional Grumpy ....
