The Salmon class is intended serve as a collier/tender to allow the Bavarian navy to dip its toes further out in the Med, or even further afield.  The vessel also serves as a testbed for large Bavarian marine diesels and turboelectric drive.

So...what did I goof :)

   Miscellaneous weights: 4,565 tons, 50.2 %

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
     12,000 lbs / 5,443 Kg = 339.7 x 4.1 " / 105 mm shells or 2.2 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.08
   Metacentric height 3.1 ft / 0.9 m
   Roll period: 15.6 seconds
   Steadiness   - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 70 %
         - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.01
   Seaboat quality  (Average = 1.00): 1.67

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has raised forecastle, raised quarterdeck
   Block coefficient: 0.740
   Length to Beam Ratio: 5.80 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 19.51 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 48 %
   Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 42

Enter percentage of bunker tonnage devoted to coal fired boilers

A large tender/collier to support the small Bavarian fleet on forays into the Med.

Miscellaneous weight :
4500t - The 4500 tons dedicated to fleet support and repair will support 18,000 tons of shipping, also known as the entire Bavarian navy.
25t - 100nm range radio is fitted.
20t - spare torpedos
20t- uncommitted reserve

The 3,421ton bunker full load contains over 2500 tons of coal for refueling.

The ships propulsion is 4/5 conventional coal boilers, 1/5 M.A.N. 2,000hp diesels. The diesels alone will propell the ship at over 11.1 knots.
The new turboelectric drive system is tried out in this ship as well.

Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest
