19 December 1914:  Port Suez

"I, for one, am glad they didn't arrive at the same time as the Iberians", the harbourmaster stated.

"You and me both", the Suez Canal Authority manager agreed heartily, as the two  watched the Yavuz Sultan Selim enter the northern end of the Canal.  Two sloops trailed dutifully behind the Ottoman armored cruiser.

"Where's the manifest show them to be headed?"

"Jiddah", the manager replied.  "Maybe they're on pilgrimage."

Show the ignorance of those men, everyone knows that 1st of November was the last day of the Hajj in 1914... ;)

23 December 1914:  The Red Sea

An Iberian freighter, skippered by a retired cruiser captain, signals via wireless that it has been passed by the Yavuz and two small ships.  The Ottomans are steering south, at cruising speed, from Jiddah.

Indian Ocean Station is to be on the lookout for the Ottoman Warships but that is all.

An Italian patrol vessel sights Yavuz and two sloops, north of the tip of Ophir/Ost Afrika.  The Ottomans are steaming east at ~10 kts.

After the information get trough the French admirality, the airships from Djibouti island are dispatched to search for Yavuz.
After she's found, an airship is kept shadowing her as far as range allows.

The scouting force from Tricomalee is being readied.

Patrol Ship will report presence of Yavuz to its HQ in Mogadishu and onto HQ.
