The only new design scheduled for the 1905 Brandenburgian budget.

(I will have to re-sim the 1904 kleiner kreuzer and großes torpedobooten, however, as both had units scheduled for 1905 and they are way, way over the new per-shaft HP limits...)

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
     61 lbs / 27 Kg = 0.1 x 12.0 " / 305 mm shells or 0.1 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.59
   Metacentric height 1.8 ft / 0.6 m
   Roll period: 9.5 seconds
   Steadiness   - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 71 %
         - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.59
   Seaboat quality  (Average = 1.00): 1.07

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has raised forecastle, raised quarterdeck
   Block coefficient: 0.785
   Length to Beam Ratio: 4.32 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 11.46 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 15 %
   Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 66
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 0.00 degrees
   Stern overhang: 0.00 ft / 0.00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
      - Stem:         8.20 ft / 2.50 m
      - Forecastle (20 %):      7.38 ft / 2.25 m (5.74 ft / 1.75 m aft of break)
      - Mid (50 %):      5.74 ft / 1.75 m
      - Quarterdeck (15 %):   6.56 ft / 2.00 m (5.74 ft / 1.75 m before break)
      - Stern:         7.38 ft / 2.25 m
      - Average freeboard:      6.32 ft / 1.93 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
   Space   - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 236.1 %
      - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 102.0 %
Waterplane Area: 3,453 Square feet or 321 Square metres

Historically the Italians had a number of boats of this type during WWI - in fact, the 12"-armed ones mounted TWO!

(Which I have had absolutely 0 success 'Sharping, BTW.)

Borys

Ahoj!
I suspect the vessel's combat success to be similiar to yours with SS :)

Bambi must DIE!

Desertfox

Borys why do you worry about mounting a 7.5" gun in a 3,000 ton vessel????

In Nv2.0 these were to be based in Kuwait for future nefarious purposes. Having traded in said "ex-Norman" colony on some shiny new islands these (and some of the FKb types) will instead be assigned to the Rift Valley Channel where they will be performing the occasional spot of wog-bashing...
