Looking at the construction times of my cruisers, I mused that I have a dearth of Type 1 slips. Looking closer at it - pretty much any sort of slips.

With Fiume mass producing destroyers, and with Dubrovnik chipping in, I don't have much in way of slips for small cruisers. 
The 3 slips I added this HY will allow me to stop using drydocks for construction.
But still my capacity, as of 1/1915, does not look too impressive.

Yeah, you'll need at least one type 3 DD, maybe two if you want to be able to build something in one of them.

I'd upgrade some combination of those Type 1 slips and Type 0 slips. You can always build small fry in a bigger slip if necessary. The nice thing about anything that fits in a Type 0 slip is it likely ties up the slip for less than 6 months.

I build Desterro - on an island just off the coast (i.e. 200 yards or so :)), at the end of a railroad leading to the local coal mines, as to support any future South Atlantic fleet.
Porto Allegre came as a bonus.

And I've undergone two bouts of expansioon already - hence the profusion of Type 2 Drydocks and Type 1 Slips.

I will now be able to build destroyers and small cruisers in parallel. At least for some time.

And yes, I'm not exactly a maritime power.

Yes, this thread could be moved. I should had posted it there.

As I'm holding Malta, the need for a base in the Otranto Strait is lesser. And here I'm undecided between expanding Kotor to Type 1, or building something at Valona (which, like Durrazzo, is in Ottoman Territory administered by Habsburgs).

As you have Malta, the main reason for a new base would rather be the additional construction facilities.

South of Dubrovnik the coast is an industrial desert. The "aulde village smythe" is as advanced tech as you can get there.
I shall expand Pola, Fiume and La Valetta, as these have the industrial capacity - or are linked to industrial centres - to build ships.
I am thinking about adding one Type 1 and 1-2 Type 0 slips in Desterro/Porto Allegre. But that would come after I add a BP there.
