Depends if somebody wants "nice" shells to knock gently at the door, or less than nice shells entering without permission.

Difference is Habsburger 4" = 32 lbs
French 105mm = 40 lbs

While I appreciate the offers, any gun arming a Maori vessel will be made in Maoria.

The requirement to use the same time and cost incorporating a gun as a full technology makes purchase of gun designs non-cost-effective in general... and, again, not applicable to this ship.

Copying a gun takes a year instead of two.

BTW Do not put too much faith in what SS says about seakeeping of destroyers. Destroyers with ss2 seakeeping of 0.4 (with an aft freeboard of 2m) could do 30kts+ in gale force winds - in 1910.

SS2 seakeeping is taken at max speed. A 33kts destroyer with a seakeeping of 0.6 is better seaboat than your ship (~0.1/1kts).

And torpedo effectiveness is not enhanced by any 'torpedo FC' equipment even if it weighs 25t.
And I don't see Maoria buying anything from France and Austria with three other allies available.
