ATM I have a Placeholder BC in there that I realy dont like either, Im trying to stay with the NS speed is king theory and it only makes 24.51 knots... (although it is within the 48kshp rule I was under at the time)

You had a better placeholder BC design in there yesterday - 25 kts, with conning tower.  Why'd you drop it?

Note that you can't build Option A, either - the machinery is overweight.

dont tell me we are gona have this "Discussion" again, almost every single ship in the nverse is over by a small amount (i consider .25% a damn small amount), and rock the other one had serious stability issues when i tryed to bump it to 27+ knots (hence why I did away with it, I plan to refit them with more powerfull engines at a later date)

We shouldn't have to have this discussion again.  48,000 is 48,000.

But But But I think im right (yes still)... in anycase proly adding a half foot of freeboard would drop it more than that, these reports werent intended as finals (as stated about the one I would be copying if I chose it) just rough outlines.

I'm not sure I follow you - freeboard won't affect powerplants.

Anyway, yes, I realize these are proposals and not final designs.  I'm pointing out the powerplant of Option A as something needs revising.  I realize Option B is also over, but 8 hp is less disconcerting than 196 hp.

Like Rocky...
I like round numbers
15000t
11300t
18400t
48000shp (4x12000)
...

It is just fine adjustement in SS
---------------------------
with 48000SHP in place of 48196, you have probably 24.921kts.
Rework your SS to have round numbers...

Heh i meant Draught, sorry its late (or early depending on your outlook) and im punch drunk atm (screwy working hours got to me this deployment I must be getting old or somthing)  anyway its already adjusted (48001 and thats as close as I can get it in my curent fryed state)

Gotcha - and my sympathies on your working hours.

I'm living on Coffee and Smokes atm (coffee is the only thing keeping me going half the time).  My last deployment didnt hit me like this one has, Used to be a solid 4 hours and I was good to go now gah 6 isnt even enough.  Oh well I only have to survive one more week and its back to a Civilised Country, aka one where they serve BEER (contemplates that after almost a year sober one beer will proly knock him on his ass)

What happened to this one? Seems better than the other choices. Then again, I would recommend waiting until you have the next level engines, before building these ships.

it didnt adjust well (newer engines threw it all to hell and im planing atleast one speed bump on them) and DF I have already BUILT them (remember 27 knot BC in your build plan) now im just trying to fix the Disaster I made without to much effort

Option C is distinctly inferior to battlecruisers being built by your potential DKB and Dutch neighbours.  It isn't much cheaper, either.  A and B have minimal differences, but I agree that if you are copying the Dutch frigate, there should be some story-line explanation of this.

Broadly speaking, my view is that NS has so many potential enemies (which have, and can again, band together to present superior numbers to the NSN) that it really has to embrace one side of the "quality/quantity" argument.  Either you go whole-hog for a juene ecole/commerce raiding strategy, or you build big, bad-ass ships capable of soundly defeating the enemies in detail.
