New players - building replacements

Korpen pointed out that he owns a floating museum, and it is possible that the BL fleet is in no better shape.

Thus the Netherlands, Baltic League, CSA may, begining with 1901, build replacements for older ships:
BB/AC - after 20 years
PC/CL - after 15 years
DD and smaller - after 12 years

Use current technology, and half of your available BP.

The question begs to be asked then...  what if we don't have elder warships to replace?

Determine your tech regression - one tech for each year.
Then multiply your BP by 30 to get the tonnage available. Distribute it for 20 years.
13.8BP would give you a fleet of 414000t.

Army: you build the army you want. I'd suggest to make some calculations how much their upkeep is, and how much you can afford. Mobilized it should not be larger than 5-7% of the population. For you, 7% is justified, with France and Russia on the border.

After discussion the moderating team decided that BL, Netherlands, Iberia, CSA can, if they want, built their fleets from scratch.
Use 25x your BP stretched out for 15 years (this means 12,5 years of BP).

Building on top of exisitng vessels is, of course, less time consuming.
Make your choice :)

Yes, all new players, if bulding a new fleet makes them happy, can build
25x current BP over a 15 year period. Losing one tech level per year.
